Description
The Time Worksheets provide some activities to use with the Time Flashcards and Digital Clocks Flashcards.
As usual, the labelling and matching worksheets are great for building confidence with new vocabulary. For starting conversations with time prompts, the Find Someone Who… game, surveys and listing worksheets will help get your class talking.
This set also has the very first dictation activity. Oh yes, I do mean a Time Dictation Worksheet!!
Now it’s really time to have fun! 🙂
15 Time Worksheets with Digital Clocks:
1 FIND SOMEONE WHO… GAME:
Students must ask around to find one classmate who does each of the activities at the time listed. Great for practising the simple present tense and daily activities along with time.
*Game 2 in the Analogue Time set is the same, just using analogue clocks.

2 LISTING WORKSHEETS:
Students list answers for 6 different time prompts per page. While this activity is meant to prompt conversation, I think it could also work as a brainstorming exercise before writing a descriptive paragraph.
- Worksheet 1: Things you do at…
- Worksheet 2: Things you hear, smell, or see at…
6 LABELLING WORKSHEETS:
There are 9 digital clocks per page with space under each clock to write the time in words– 3 worksheets have word prompts that match up, the other 3 worksheets have no word prompts.
3 MATCHING WORKSHEETS:
Students draw a line between the digital time and the phrase that matches.

3 SURVEYS (Past Continuous):
Students interview classmates asking What were you doing yesterday at… [ time ] ? Crime scene not included.
23 Analogue Clock Worksheets
1 FIND SOMEONE WHO… GAME:
This is Game 2. It is exactly the same as the Digital Clock worksheet, except for the pictures of clocks.
9 LABELLING WORKSHEETS:
These worksheets have 9 analogue clocks per page.
- 3 worksheets for labelling the clocks with words
- 3 worksheets for labelling the clocks with digital time (numbers)
- 3 worksheets have no prompts, label

6 MATCHING WORKSHEETS:
Students draw a line between the analogue clocks and either words or digital time (numbers)– 3 worksheets for each.
5 “MATCH 3” WORKSHEETS:
There are 5 worksheets for matching time phrases to pictures of clocks and then to digital time (in numbers).
1 SURVEY (simple present):
Students interview classmates asking What do you do at… ?

1 TIME DICTATION:
One page with nine empty clocks. Students listen to the teacher dictate the time and draw the hands on each clock and/or label the clocks with the time they heard. After a demo, this activity works in small groups with each student writing three sentences (Ex. I get up at 7:00. I drink chocolate milk at 4:00 and play baseball at 6:30) and filling the blanks as they listen to their classmates.
