These 27 free Winter Olympics flashcards use simple black and white icons to depict all the sports you’ll see during the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games! As usual, you can download the free PDF files with small, medium or large size images depending on your classroom use case (small cards for games and pair work, larger cards for whole class activities, etc.)

The icons in these flashcards come from The Noun Project, which is a great resource for all sorts of vocabulary. This set has cards for all six Paralympic sports, and 15 of the 16 sports listed on the Olympics’ Milano Cortina website. Which is missing? Short track speed skating. There is only one card for “speed skating”.

Also, the separate events within each sport are not included– no cards for “downhill”, “super-G”, or “giant slalom”, just a card for the broader term “Alpine skiing”.
