COVID-19 Hygiene Flashcards

Preview this set

Stay home! Wash your hands! Here is a set of 9 simple flashcards to teach hygiene in the context of COVID-19. I put together the flashcards in this set with images from the Noun Project, a really wonderful source of icons to illustrate information.

Unlike other card sets on this site, each of the small, medium, and large size sets includes three types of flashcards:

  1. image-only picture flashcards
  2. word-only flashcards with phrases
  3. picture flashcards with labels

That means that all sets have a total of 27 cards each. Adjust your printer accordingly if you don’t need all of the cards.

Hygiene Phrases

The short phrases in this set are the basic, common instructions for practising good hygiene provided by many national health organizations right now:

  • Stay home.
  • Wash your hands.
  • Use hand sanitizer.
  • Don’t touch your face.
  • Clean high-touch objects.
  • Cover your cough.
  • Use tissues.
  • Throw away your tissues.
  • Stay two metres apart.

To read more about how to stay healthy and avoid getting sick, visit your government’s health department website. Government sites provide good visual material for public health education which are free to download and may be useful when teaching adult ESL/EFL classes (hopefully you are able to teach online these days).
