Play Clothing Bingo to review vocabulary for a 4-season wardrobe. If you want to really practice listening skills, try the colour + clothing variation as well.

Clothing Bingo

All the clothing items in these Bingo games match up exactly with the 27 words in Clothes Flashcard Set: 19 singular nouns, plus pajamas, shoes, boots, socks, and gloves. The word list includes items for summer, like swimsuit, as well as winter clothing, like scarf, boots, coat and winter hat.

In the “Clothing Bingo” game the pictures are exactly the same as the flashcards- same words, same pictures, same colours. Just like the flashcards, you can choose between the American English or British English version of the labels under the words. Because there are only 27 nouns in the vocabulary set, the bingo grid is 4×4 with 16 words per card. The PDF download includes 30 different bingo cards and a call sheet.

Bingo with Colours and Clothing

The “Colours and Clothing” Bingo game uses the same list of 27 clothing items. However, each picture has been tinted into 3 different colours, so 27 words x 3 colours = 81 different combinations. The labels under the pictures follow the pattern (article) + colour + noun, for example:

• an orange swimsuit / a blue swimsuit / a black swimsuit
• brown shoes / blue shoes / red shoes

The 11 different colours match the Colours Set C Flashcard Set, using the basic primary and secondary colours plus a few more:

• red, yellow, blue,
• orange, green, purple,
• black, white, brown
• +  pink and grey/gray

Beware: the picture for “a red hat” is different from “a red winter hat”– the game has both!

You can download the “Colours and Clothing” Bingo with either American or British English labels under the pictures. The grid is 5×5.

Picture-only Bingo

For those of you who prefer no labels at all– either because your students will write the words in themselves, or because you teach a language other than English, I’ve also made “wordless” options for both the 4×4 and 5×5 games.
