These nouns supplement the main list of Dolch Sight Words, high-frequency words found in American children’s books compiled by Edward William Dolch.
The main list of 220 Dolch Sight Words are “service words”, that is, words such as articles, pronouns, prepositions, etc, which are common to all reading levels.
The list of 95 nouns, however, are “content words” and therefore more specific to American culture and to the time period during which the list was created (1930s – 40s).
Here we’ve divided the 95 Dolch Nouns into two sets of cards, alphabetically:
Set 1 – words beginning with letters A to G.
Set 2 – words beginning with letters H to W.
