Body – Set 1
FREE
Description
Teach your students the English names for parts of the body without pointing 🙂
Big arrows and exaggerated cartoon images make teaching body words clear and funny.
This set includes head, shoulder, knees, toes, eyes, ears, mouth, nose… and a few more of the words you might need when working with young learners.
For a more difficult set of body vocabulary, try Body – Set 2.

Nan –
I don’t see a link to download a word list for these flashcards. I love this website. These cards are great for my beginning ESL students.
Karen –
Hi Nan,
Thanks for letting me know. I had named the files incorrectly, oopsy 😛 It should be fixed now!
carmine –
can I download without installing PDF merge program ? thank you
Karen –
You do not need a PDF merge program. Each PDF file has 18 vocabulary cards.
SH –
I would love to be able to print these in black and white so users can color them. Any chance you have those available and I just didn’t see it?
Karen –
Sorry, no, I don’t have a black and white set of these ones.
You could try converting them to black and white with your printer settings using a grayscale option. If you do, I’d also suggest adjusting lightness/darkness and contrast first. On Mac, open in Preview and under the Preview dropdown menu select Quality > Color Settings. Not sure for Windows, or about the quality when it prints out, though 🙁
Connie Chow –
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I’m using these tomorrow!

Carly –
Thank you for making such a great resource available for free! I am however having trouble with printing the words on the back of the pictures on (body parts A). They need to be mirrored so that they can print correctly… unless I am doing something wrong! lol I can’t wait to use these in my VIPKID classroom this week! 🙂 Thanks again!
Karen –
Thanks for writing!
Sorry, the cards weren’t designed to print double sided. On regular paper, the text would probably show through onto the picture side 🙁 Also, the word cards are only available for the small size card sets at the moment.
If you want to make double-sided cards, your best bet might be to glue the picture card onto a sheet of coloured card stock and then the word card onto the reverse of the coloured sheet. That’s more laborious, though 🙁
Let me know what format you were hoping for or what format/size works best for teaching online. I may be able to remake some of the sets!
Karen –
We’ve now fixed the layout of the small word cards– they will now be easier to print double sided! 🙂
Daniela –
Thanks a lot! I downloaded the small set and the word list. Very helpful!
Karen –
Great 🙂 I hope the cards are useful for you!

But here the download options are missing.
Thank you for your great work.
Karen –
Hi Mato,
I’m not sure why Set 2 worked and not Set 1, but I just tested these and they downloaded fine for me. Could you reload the page or try a different browser? If it still doesn’t work, contact me here and we’ll figure it out 🙂
