Thank you for sharing these 🙂

And yes, you understood correctly from Google Translate. I wasn’t able to see download links at first but they showed up after I turned off AddBlock in Google Chrome so that could possibly have been the problem for her (and others).
I suggest that you place that on the “Can’t see the download links?” page 🙂

I downloaded these but, to be honest, some propositions are a bit hard to make out. It would be helpful if their meaning was underneath them.
And, to test my students if they remembered them, I like to have versions without text. Now, I’m quite capable with graphics design tools so I create separate versions without text but not everyone can.

Thank you again for all your efforts.

    • Karen

Thanks for the feedback! Good to confirm that turning off your ad blocker enabled you to see the links. That suggestion is on the ‘Download’ page, though I haven’t listed any extensions by name. I imagine there are a lot :S

Eric originally made the cards without words so that teachers of other languages -not just English- could also use them. I won’t have a chance to make new cards sets in the near future, but if I do I’ll post an update here.

For the moment, I’d suggest just writing in the word in marker. That said, I personally wouldn’t trust my own penmanship, so alternatively print out the word cards and glue the matching word on the reverse side.

      Take care,
      Karen

    • Karen

A long-awaited update: we’ve now made picture cards with labels for mostly all the sets. Wordless flashcards are still available, too.

millions of thanks for your sharing! 🙂

    • Karen

      You’re very welcome!

  3. Alexander

NOT writing what it is – is exactly the trick!
Having flashcards with writing under it -> not educational, when kids guess the meaning of the flashcards, it’s so rewarding for them,

Thank you very much for such great variety of flashcards!

    • Karen

      You’re most welcome 🙂

    • Karen

Hi Preet, thanks for your comment.

I just tested and was able to download this set and others. It’s possible you were trying while something was updating. Not sure, but maybe try a different browser. If you still can’t download contact me here so I can ask for more details!

The ones I can see will be helpful. The one with the man leering at his date is a bit weird, though; especially when the rest involve a soccer ball. Thanks for making these available for us.

    • Karen

You’re right :S This set is probably overdue for an update!

    • Karen

At long last I have updated the set to remove the weird card! I’ve replaced it with the soccer ball across from a box.

I would like to download these cards, but the option is not available. All I can do is ‘rate these cards’. The ‘please rate these cards’ tab covers where the download options usually are.

    • Karen

Does it still happen if you try a different browser?

Also, could you try let me know what browser you are using? I can’t seem to replicate the problem.
Feel free to send more details here so I can fix this:

      Thanks for letting me know!

Aha. It was the browser. I moved to MSFT Edge and it works just fine. Apparently Brave won’t let me download anymore. I did the first few through Brave just fine. Oh well. Thanks for the suggestion. These will really help my students. Thanks much.

    • Karen

Glad you got it working! I will do some troubleshooting with Brave to try to figure out what’s up. Thanks!

Hi MagDC– Did you try clearing the browser cache after disabling Adblock? If that still doesn’t work, did you try switching browser altogether?

I like them for Adult Pre-beginners. Without using pictures, it is very hard for them to understand the English Language.

    • Karen

I agree, it’s nice to have a picture or something to point at for the words you don’t want to mime 🙂
